a movie recommendation for artists

a movie recommendation for artists:

"blind beast" 1969 japan

a blind amateur sculptor kidnaps a girl to creates a work in his studio where he makes gigantic female body part art objects. Mako Midori, the actress, is so pretty. the subject of art looked like a center theme of the story. i think the film is like a dark, sexy, and twisted version of "butterflies are free". you would like it!

my interview on Manufactured Dissent

..... What are you working on/ describe your work.
— I have been working on color pencil drawings on raw canvas. They are portraits mostly. My art has a vintage feel, so this washed color on raw canvas works very well. I also explore the idea of culture. Because I left home young I have been training myself to be flexible and strong with different beliefs, attitudes, and thoughts in America.
What’s your art background / when did you begin really focusing on art?
— I lived in Ireland when I was 16. I started drawing with charcoal there. Actually, I drew many cartoons and created comic books in my class when I was 11, so I would say in elementary school.
Describe your current state of mind / what’s inspiring you?
— I am inspired by an American culture in the 60s and 70s and hairy men.......
